Customer: Department of Defense (DOD)
Contract Performance: Defense Messaging; Telecommunications

The Pentagon Telecommunication Center (PTC) is a 24/7 facility where all United States messages are filtered and secured by scanning for content and format and ultimately sent, in a prompt and efficient manner, to the proper recipients. In 2004, military personnel were deemed of greater use in the field where they are trained to serve and protect, leaving a need to relieve the service branches of their duty within the PTC. The government needed a team to ensure proper delivery of our country’s secured messages across correct channels. The government sought a more consolidated facility, an upgrade of present legacy systems and ultimately an entire relocation of operations to a separate wing of the Pentagon. The SGIS team provided the support in pursuit of this mission. SGIS was critical in the successful completion of the relocation and is providing ongoing support. This effort has shown great success in cutting trouble tickets by 95%, immediately impacting efficiency of the facilitation of message distribution. It has also been a success in saving our government substantial funds in relieving our military of these duties, allowing them to apply their skills to field projects making our country safer and more secure.
