SGIS RANKED 13^TH FASTEST GROWING NEW COMPANY IN AMERICA ON PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS & ENTREPRENEUR MAGAZINE'S HOT 100 LIST

San Diego, California (June 7, 2006) – SGIS announced today that it ranked No. 13 on PricewaterhouseCoopers’ and Entrepreneur magazine’s Hot 100 list of The Fastest Growing New Companies in America.  The list is featured in the June 2006 issue of Entrepreneur magazine.  The 12th Annual Hot 100 listing was assembled from an initial list of fast-growing companies compiled by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

SGIS CEO Hany Girgis founded the company from his home in June 2002.  Since inception, SGIS has grown into a national organization that delivers government contracting and other professional services to a diverse group of customers.  Girgis says, “It is an honor to be selected by Entrepreneur magazine as a member of the Hot 100 for the second straight year.  Our team’s dedication and commitment has enabled us to move up 14 spots from last year’s list.  We pride ourselves on providing superior services to our customers, and this award validates those efforts.”

With revenues in excess of $26 million in 2005, a growth factor of over 5,300% within the first 3 years of business, SGIS is rapidly climbing the ladder of success. SGIS has continued its growth trend, already growing revenues by more than 60% in 2006. The company now employs more than 480 people.  Much of the company’s success can be attributed to expanding into various market segments with a diverse set of service offerings.

In March of 2005, SGIS was awarded a 5 year contract with NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), worth $75 million.  SGIS was awarded one of three prime contracts out of over 100 qualified companies.  A large driver for the growth of SGIS has also been the Intelligence services offered by SGIS, which provides Intelligence Analysis, Management Support and Information Technology services to various agencies within the Intelligence Community.  The company’s intelligence-related work has grown by more than 600% since the beginning of 2005.

Each Hot 100 company must have been founded no earlier than 2001, had annual sales that exceeded $1 million in 2005, has fewer than 1,000 employees and has a founder with a controlling interest in the business who is actively involved in daily operations.  Entrepreneur reports that total combined sales of this year's Hot 100 companies reached an impressive $1.7 billion, up from $1.5 billion last year.  Business services companies continued their solid showing, and staffing firms did exceptionally well, jumping from four companies last year to 10 this year. Healthcare and pharmaceutical industry businesses also continued to be strong categories.  Technology businesses grew at a steady pace – 22, up from 20 last year – with technology defense companies joining the competition. E-commerce businesses also came on strong, with six spots in this year's Hot 100.
