Mark nehmer of sgis appointed as chairman of scholarship committee for south florida ’s chapter of Armed forces communications and electronics association

 

Fort Lauderdale, FL (March 7, 2008) – SGIS Senior Account Manager Mark Nehmer has been appointed as the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee for the South Florida Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).  Nehmer will be responsible for directing outreach to the South Florida educational community, including high school, college and university students to promote awareness of the AFCEA and the availability of scholarships for qualified students.  He will also evaluate scholarship applications and serve as a key decision maker for scholarships awarded.

With more than 17 years of experience in the technical, financial, logistics, scientific services and government contracting industries, Nehmer brings a wealth of knowledge to SGIS and the AFCEA.  Nehmer has held many senior positions throughout his career, including Vice President and business systems analysis and project management roles.

 

Nehmer holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in History and Economics from the University of Michigan .  He also received his Master of Business Administration degree with a dual concentration in Finance and Information Systems from Fontbonne University , graduating with high honors.
