new
office for One of America’s
Fastest Growing New Companies
Orlando, Florida – SGIS announced today that it has opened a new office in the
Orlando area. SGIS ranked
No. 13 on PricewaterhouseCoopers’ and Entrepreneur
magazine’s Hot 100 list of The Fastest Growing New Companies in America
earlier this year.
The new SGIS
office, in the Quadrangle Office Park, is minutes from Research
Park and the University of Central
Florida. Vice
Presidents Mark Moore and John Mahony chose this area to better position the
company within the simulation and training industry, as they are heavily focused
on supporting this growing sector.
“We are very excited about the opening of our new Orlando office.” Mahony said. “We are in an ideal location to service many
of the companies that we are working with, in both the defense and commercial markets. We can
literally walk out our front door, and reach many of our clients within 5
minutes. We are also happy to be in an office that is
close to four times the size of our previous location in Avalon Park.
This will allow us to continue and
expand on the growth we have experienced over the past three years”.
“Orlando is one of the most
important locations to our company.” Mark Moore added. “Newsweek just
recognized Orlando
as one of the three most innovative cities in the World. We
know Orlando is
the Simulations Capital of the World and this is an area we have come to
specialize in. As our growth in this
industry has increased this move became necessary and essential.”
With
revenues in excess of $26 million in 2005, a growth factor of over 5,300% within
the first 3 years of business, SGIS is rapidly climbing the ladder of success. SGIS has continued its growth trend, already
growing revenues by more than 60% in 2006.
Much of the company’s success can
be attributed to expanding into various market segments with a diverse set of service
offerings.
In March of
2005, SGIS was awarded a 5 year contract with NASA/JPL, worth $75 million. SGIS was awarded one of three prime contracts
out of over 100 qualified companies.
A large driver for the growth of SGIS has been the intelligence services
the company offers, which provides Intelligence Analysis, Management Support
and Information Technology services to various agencies within the intelligence
community. The company’s intelligence
related work has grown by more than 600% since the beginning of 2005.
