Vienna, VA
(September 10, 2007)
– SGIS has been awarded a position on an engineering and acquisition contract in support of Serco and the United States Navy. The work will be performed at the San Diego Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR). The contract is valid until August 2010.
The
scope of work that SGIS will cover entails engineering and acquisition
support for Naval electronic surveillance systems during their life-cycle. SGIS will also provide technical expertise to
the Program Executive Offices, Naval Installation Command, Naval Intelligence
Command and other Department of Defense agencies as well as the Department of
Homeland Security and United States Coast Guard. SGIS will serve other Government activities as
required.
“We
are proud of the work we do for the United States Navy and honored to have been
chosen as a subcontractor by Serco,” said SGIS Vice President Linda Beardsley.
“This is an excellent opportunity to offer our Acquisition and
Engineering expertise to the US Navy and also further develop our support for
them.”
