Sgis relocates to new office
Vienna, Virginia
(August 13, 2007) –
SGIS has relocated to a larger office space in the Washington, D.C.
metro area to accommodate its growth.
The new office will include a Sensitive
Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), which will be used to process classified government
information. The new office is located at 8618 Westwood Center Drive, Suite 100,
Vienna, VA 22182.
“This is an incredible opportunity
for SGIS as this will allow us to bid and work on prime, classified
contracts and programs,” said SGIS Facility Security Officer Eric Kersey. “Access to SCIFs is limited and all activity
and conversation that occurs inside is not disclosed to the public; this will
allow SGIS to further operations that allow the sharing of classified
information between federal agencies’ networks.”
SGIS recently began work on a
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Automated Messaging Services (FAMS)
Engineering, Operations and Support prime contract for the Space and Naval
Warfare (SPAWAR)
Systems Center, Charleston worth
over $3.1 million. SGIS provides the FBI
with support to engineer, operate, maintain, modernize and transform the FAMS
Secret and Top Secret missions in order to establish a community compliant
messaging center; this will enable the availability, exchange and sharing of
record message traffic in order to combat cyber-based attacks and
high-technology crimes and also public corruption.
“We are
ecstatic to be a part of such important initiatives,” added SGIS Chief Operating
Officer Vince Virga. “This,
along with our expansion and relocation, is further evidence of the phenomenal
growth SGIS has experienced.”
